About us

Technology managed by people who care.

Your Technology Adviser was built on a simple belief: that everyone deserves technology that works properly — and someone genuinely knowledgeable to keep it that way.

Most technology support is reactive. Something breaks, you call someone, they fix it, you wait for the next thing to break.

Your Technology Adviser works differently. We take ongoing responsibility for your technology the same way a financial adviser takes ongoing responsibility for your investments — quietly, continuously, in the background.

From the day you join, your devices are monitored, secured and backed up automatically. Problems are found and fixed before you know they exist. And when you do need us, a real person answers the phone — someone who already knows your setup and your situation.

Three things we never compromise on

01

Proactive, not reactive

We find problems before you do. Our monitoring watches your devices around the clock — most issues are resolved before you ever know they existed.

02

Genuine personal service

No call centres, no scripts, no automated menus. When you call, a real person answers — someone who knows your devices, your setup and your preferences.

03

Complete transparency

One monthly fee. Everything included. No surprises on your invoice. Every month, a plain-English report tells you exactly what we have been doing on your behalf.

David Bras, Founder of Your Technology Adviser

David Bras

Founder

David has spent more than two decades working at the intersection of technology and people — across organisations including Woolworths, Endeavour Group and Bank of Tokyo, and with some of Australia's earliest ecommerce businesses.

His career began as a software developer at Greengrocer.com.au, one of the first online retailers in Australia, and grew through roles in ecommerce, logistics and retail where the job was never just about the technology — it was about making it work for the people who depended on it.

Your Technology Adviser was inspired by a conversation with my uncle, and the creative approach to spreadsheets I discovered that day. It crystallised something I had seen throughout my career: that capable, intelligent people are too often left to navigate technology on their own, without proper support or someone they can genuinely trust.

David holds a degree in Information Technology and Business Systems from the University of Wollongong, along with AWS and Azure certifications. He is based in Wollongong and Sydney.
