Threat filtering at the source

Every time your device connects to the internet, our network-level filtering checks the destination against a continuously updated database of known threats. Malicious websites, scam infrastructure and dangerous links are blocked before anything loads — across every app and browser, on every device we manage.

Your accounts, locked down

The most common way criminals access personal accounts is through stolen passwords. We secure every important account with multi-factor authentication, meaning a stolen password alone is never enough to get in. We also manage your passwords so every account has a strong, unique password you never have to remember.

Your passwords are stored in an encrypted vault — we configure and monitor the health of your vault, but we never see your passwords in plain text. Not us, not anyone. The encryption works in one direction only.

Your devices, always up to date

Outdated software is one of the most common ways criminals gain access to computers and phones. Every security update, every software patch, every operating system improvement is applied automatically across your devices — without you doing anything, without notifications asking you to click something.

Continuous monitoring

We monitor your devices and accounts around the clock. If something unusual happens — a suspicious sign-in attempt, a device that stops behaving normally, a security setting that has changed — we know about it immediately and act before it becomes a problem. You'll hear from us when there's something you should know.

Your computer, fully backed up

A complete copy of your computer — every file, every document, every photograph — is backed up to the cloud every single day. If your computer is ever lost, stolen, damaged or simply stops working, we can restore everything exactly as it was. The whole machine, or just the files you need.

Your email and documents, independently protected

Your email history, your cloud documents and your important files are backed up separately and independently — protected even in circumstances where your main backup cannot help. Every email you have ever sent or received is retained and recoverable.

Your phone, always protected

Your iPhone's photos, messages, contacts and apps are automatically backed up every night while it charges. We verify this is working at your Technology Audit and monitor it on an ongoing basis. If you ever lose your phone or need to replace it, everything comes back exactly as it was.

The 3-2-1 rule — met automatically

The gold standard of data protection requires three copies of your data, stored in two different ways, with one copy held securely off-site. Every Your Technology Adviser member benefits from this standard automatically — without ever having to think about it.

We find problems before you do

Most of the issues your devices encounter are caught and resolved before you ever know they existed. This is what proactive stewardship looks like — not waiting to be called, but watching continuously and acting early. None of this touches your included guidance hours.

  • Hard drive health

    We monitor the health of your computer's storage and alert you before a failure, giving time to act rather than react.

  • Security alerts

    Unusual sign-in attempts, policy changes and suspicious behaviour are flagged immediately.

  • Backup status

    We verify your backups have run successfully. If something fails, we fix it before it matters.

  • Software currency

    All critical software is monitored for updates. Nothing falls behind.

Your monthly health report

On the first of every month, you and your nominated family contact receive a clear, plain-English summary of everything we've been doing on your behalf — the same way a financial adviser sends a portfolio statement.

It covers the health of your devices, any security events detected and resolved, the status of your backups, and how much of your guidance time was used. No technical jargon. No alarm. Just calm, honest visibility into the care your technology is receiving.

Family account included

You can nominate a family member — a son, daughter or trusted person — as an authorised contact. They receive the monthly report, can raise support requests on your behalf, and can speak with us about your technology at any time.

When you call, a real person answers. There are no call centres, no automated menus, no being put on hold and transferred between departments. Just calm, expert care from someone who already knows your devices, your setup and how you like things to work.

What your time covers

Any question, any issue, any device we manage. Whether you need guidance on a video call, something isn't working the way it should, you've received a suspicious email, or you simply want to understand how something works — we're here. No question is too small.

What doesn't touch your hours

The majority of issues are caught and resolved by us before you even know about them. Monitoring alerts, security events, backup failures and software problems are handled as part of our ongoing stewardship — none of this comes out of your included time. Your hours are yours.

When you need more

If a complex situation requires more than your included two hours in a given month, additional time is available at $90 per hour in 15-minute increments. We will always let you know before your included time runs out — no surprises, ever.

Managed email address

A dedicated email address under your own name — for example, margaret@chapmanfamily.com.au — managed and protected as part of your membership. Includes advanced email filtering that blocks scam and phishing emails before they reach your inbox, and independent backup of every email you send and receive.

Your existing Gmail or Hotmail address continues to work and forwards automatically — nothing is lost in the transition.

Is support done remotely or in person?

Both. The Technology Audit and Onboarding is done in person at your home. Ongoing support is primarily remote — Dave can see your screen and help directly without travelling to you.

Do you support both Windows and Mac?

Yes. The membership covers Windows PCs and Macs equally. It also covers iPhones and Android phones. Two devices are included in the standard membership — additional devices can be added for $10 per month each.

Can you help with iPhones and iPads?

Yes. iPhones are enrolled and managed as part of the standard membership. iPads can be added as an additional device. We manage passcode policies, iCloud backup, Cloudflare DNS filtering and app compliance.

What happens during the onboarding visit?

Dave visits your home for two to three hours. Every device is assessed, enrolled and configured. Security and backup are set up from scratch. You receive a printed summary of everything at the end of the visit.

Can family members be included?

Yes. A family liaison account is included with every membership — an authorised contact who can raise requests and receive the monthly health report. Spouses or partners sharing devices are covered under the same membership.

Is this suitable for people who aren't technical?

It's designed specifically for people who aren't technical. We manage everything — you never need to interact with the tools or understand how they work. Plain-English communication, always.
